The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

I took some against the blue sky. No good. Must remember to keep a dark background behind.

  1. Well done. These have a lot going for them.

  2. Beautiful.
Every year I intend to learn more about grasses, and every year I don't! Maybe this year.....

  3. still my heart. love the minimal quality here. aren't grasses be photographed? you did an excellent job. grasses are still, especially with the snow, the one thing that turns my head when I'm wandering about. the third and fourth - your masterpieces. happy weekend John. (ready for SHS?) :)

  4. Hi John...Great photos to show the beauty in simplicity!!
    Very Nice

  5. John, you are getting downright artsy with these photos and I think that last one against the blue sky is every bit as nice as the others, especially since you got some clouds and variance int the background texture. Nice job.

  6. Love love the simplicity of these ... minimalism for sure.

  7. These are great. Not enough is said about grass. Littler is photographed.

  8. your grasses are one of my favourites!
