Scavenger Hunt Sunday

This week's words are one color, laundry, empty, one dozen and soft. Let's see where they led me.

One Color
This one proved to be the most perplexing for me when one would think it easy. I guess I was trying for something meaningful. I came up empty (can't use that for empty).
Here is the table and chair from the Incident on Main Street post of a couple days ago.
It is one color you probably wouldn't consider to use but it works for this cafe.
Laundry
I knew right off where to go with this one - a laundromat. Only problem was I had so much fun in there shooting pictures that it was difficult to narrow down my selection. So here's several.

Empty
I had some ideas for this one and then, when you least expect it, it jumps right out in front of you totally different than you planned. This happened to me on my first Scavenger Hunt with half.
You step outside this door into empty space.

One Dozen
So many ways to go here and naturally a carton of eggs first comes to mind. I liked the facade of this old hotel building and its arrangement of 12 windows and that is where I went with this one.

Soft
Right away I knew what to do here. I have had cats throughout my life but Sinbad without question has the softest fur of any.

  6. Excellent! I like the laundromat shots. A couple years ago I had to do laundry at a laundromat and was fascinated by the photo ops there!

  9. Does it mean I'm odd if I say I love the color of that table? Love it. You know what my favorite shot is. The way the light/shadow falls on his fur is simply perfect. I love looking at his hind paws. He's so adorable.
I think all your treasures are fine for this week's hunt. I love empty, and the fish-eye shot of the dryers at the 'mat. I forgot all about scavenger hunt until mid-day yesterday, so my own submissions this week are pretty lame, but it's always fun putting it together. have a fun Sunday John.

But obviously, the one with Sinbad is the winner! :)

  16. Good job filling in the requirements for the scavenger hunt! I love(!)that green. But I think your pics of the laundromat are really pretty cool. That comes from a person who would rather drink vinegar than do laundry. And, of course, Sinbad...what a beauty!

  22. nicely done ~ did you get a fisheye?? I agree sometimes the theme/prompt images are the most difficult to get. You did a great job capturing them all.
