Scavenger Hunt Sunday

This week's prompts are sunset, black and white, a day in my life, four, and colorful

sunset
Taken last year at the Lava Beds N.M. northern California
Except for sharpening, this is straight out of the camera.

black and white
I was tempted to insert a black and white picture here since that is what I have been working on to master.
Since I featured my motorcycle last week I should give my mountain bike equal time. When I was shopping for a mounatin bike a few years back I have to admit, I was smitten by the black on white paint scheme on this bike. Fortunately glitz aside, this is one very nicely designed bicycle. Sorry for the dirt but I was having too much fun, just another day in my life which leads into the next prompt

a day in my life
is usually enjoying the wonders of Nature around me
as you can tell by the twinkle in my eye

four (here it was suggested four pictures that go together)
Well I just did these grasses last week or so but I think they are appropriate for another showing
here on Scavenger Hunt Sunday

colorful
A storefront window display all the more colorful at 4:30 in the morning when no one is around

    Well done!

Scavenger Hunt was one of my favourites but I am so lacking in inspiration over the last couple of weeks.

  8. it's not easy to choose a favorite out of this series. the grasses were a fave when you posted them and still are. the sunset shot almost changes my mind about how i feel regarding them. it's splendid. i really like your choice for black and white. wish i would have thought of that - a color scheme rather than a black and white photo. i'm thinking that the selfie is my favorite, everything about it is appealing. especially that gull on the post. and the yellow mug in your hand. and the twinkle in your eye. good job.
i almost emailed you this week about shs - i think we're having similar thoughts. happy day to you and sinbad.

  11. Perfect focus on the grasses. Love the twinkling eye, too. And I like to see dirty sports equipment, which means it's getting used!

  15. Love the sunset photo, maybe because it's taken somewhere other than the Midwest and is full of brilliant color! And the four images of the grasses are very very nice.

Thanks for commenting on my scavenger hunt series today.

  18. Hi there - I have just returned from the wild, woolly and less that wonderful world of wireless only internet - so now I'm catching up.

Nice set of pictures – I think I like the four grasses best – a generally overlooked sort of plant!

  19. Love the sunset. I woke nice and early this morning and thought I'd be in time for a nice sunrise.....till I looked out the window. Heavy precipitation got me back in bed.

  21. Beautiful sunset, wonderful colors! I love the grass photos as well. I like to find little images like this when I'm out and about.
Don't apologize for the dirty bike. A mountain bike looks best with a little mud! :)

  22. What great grass shots. Simple and effective - I think the fact that you have a set of them rather than just one makes them look better.
