The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Our Valentine Anniversary

The cat yesterday was sitting in front of the doors at 4:30am and it was cold..
He ran off when I moved in for this photo.

The dancing figures beneath the street lamp in the early morning hour symblozies the celebration of our 44th wedding anniversary today. On the blog this year I'll not rant on how commercialized Valentines Day has become over the years and we won't allow big business and greed dampen
Our Day.
<3 Happy Anniversary Sweetheart! <3

  6. Those poor "consumers" that think they have to go nuts on Valentine's Day, drive me insane too! What pressure it puts on the guy for his gal. Or the gals that have no one in their life look around to see hearts, candy and flowers everywhere. Prices high, to pull in people to the restaurants. Is it only like this in the United States I wonder?
Happy Valentine's Anniversary to you and your woman. Will I be seeing huge hearts on this blog tomorrow?

  10. Congratulations on your 44th anniversary! That's fantastic! We don't do Valentines Day in this household. I was told before we were married that it is a "Hallmark Holiday" and we don't celebrate those. Glad it doesn't dampen your day!

  16. I would say 44 years definitely deserves its very own day, regardless of whether the world thinks it's Valentine's Day. Congratulations!
