Gas for Less

Just as we don't see neat old signs like this much anymore, we'll never see gas for less again.

This begged for a black and white version.

This is linked to Lesley's signs, signs

  1. You bet, it looks great in black and white.

  2. Indeed this is a sign of the past - in more than one way alas.

  3. Much better in B/W.

Just how much LESS is it talking about? Gas in my little town in Tennessee is $3.70 gallon, can anyone out there beat that!

  4. How about $8.30? That's what you'd pay for a gallon in the UK. Which is why I use a bicycle.

  5. Old signs like this one are great. I love the blue against the blue sky a lot. But the one in B&W is great as well because it gives the sky a more dramatic look. Great find John! Have a great weekend.

  6. You are so right. Nice one. As my dad used to say "Let Les get his own gas, where is some for me?"

  7. Late getting to this one today! Love the sign...and I am sure you are right...unless, of course, gas gets less just in time for the elections!

  8. I like the B& W to emphasize the sign's rather quaint message. If only we could have gas for less.

  12. You are so right. B&W is where it's at. Lesley is right. Iconic.
