The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

but not by much.

  1. What an intriguing shot! Was it on the floor, or on the door? (Sounds like Dr. Seuss!)...I like the shape of that hinge too - nice old sturdy one!

  2. Hi John....So enjoyed your buddy "Sindbads"travel habits...I love the way cat' so find the oddest place to take a nap! : }
    I brought the outside deck cushions in before a rain... trough by the door, and the cat claimed them!
    I go through unmotivated camera spurts to, but this one you posted today is a real goody...simplistic,but thought provoking!! This is one of those kind you might see selling for a chunk of change!
    Loved it!

  3. I like all of this--the composition, light, shadows (esp the nail). Very nice.

  4. Everything works here. Great photo.
