The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Monday Mural

Eureka, Kansas

Last week I displayed an old Coca Cola mural from Jamesport Missouri.  This week is Red Rock Cola a drink popular most likely locally as I do not recall ever seeing it out west.  Probably tasted the same.

I left a photobomb parking ticket on the car before leaving.
Not really, but I really ought to make up such a thing.

Yeah -- don't you just hate it when someone parks in front of a mural ... there should be a law against it! I like the brilliance of the red ... never heard of this cola either.

Ferns and moss are not uncommon in our woodlands - its just I think most people don't notice them.

Red Rock Cola is a new one for me. It must be tough competing with Coke and Pepsi.

haven't heard of that soda either. :)

Certainly looks like Red Rock was trying to capitalize on the popular branding of Coca Cola. Also looks like the mural is being restored.

The nerve of them to park in the middle of your pic. ;-)

The owner of that car must not be a photographer. :))

For some reason, I always get a kick out of seeing local versions to national products. It's just plain pleasing to see local initiatives continuing. Thanks, John, for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
