The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Coming Up Empty

I explored some new territory looking for mushrooms and saw only two which were not photogenic.
So I settled for this.

A rest stop at the summit to eat my apple.
Notice the little used for the day, camera and tripod setting by the log.

It was back home for a hot cup of tea.

  1. very nice location and bits of nature to explore. I loved the white flower photograph especially. Was this close to home base, or the big van out and about?

  2. Nice images John and it's still a good idea to carry the camera and tripod around for a while.

ps No Amanda doesn't have her own blog but I will share more of her images on mine.
