The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Buick Meadow Rest Stop

Five miles into the interior of Annadel State Park

I do not know how this meadow came by this name.  There is no abandoned Buick sitting out there.
Maybe at one time long ago.
Pardon my dust specks.

  1. Is that your bike over there. Looks like a great one to tackle this route.

  2. I wanted to ask the same as SC, ha,ha.

  3. Being the old car "nut" that he is, «Louis» is interested in how that came to be called "Buick Meadow"...

  4. looking like a nice place to cycle along without a care ... lovely scene

  5. i like all the textures and grasses. thanks for the pit stop. :)

  6. Love that your first shot is in B&W...

  7. I hate when I get those pesky dust specks. Nice b&w shot.
