The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Preserved

I saw these at the flea market last week.  I thought they were wonderful and for only $5 each they could be mine.  But I just could not think what I would do with them so I walked on.

These were made to hang around your neck.

These here, well maybe just to look at.

That is where I am at today, the flea market searching for more wonderful items
but without the slightest idea what to do with them if I had them.
At least I don't buy everything I like.

  1. Its a bit creepy. An insect like this on your neck. Better leave them alone and let them doing their thing to keep balance in nature.

  2. I wouldn't wear a real insect around my neck, I prefer an artist who makes something original. We also don't walk with a fox around our necks anymore isn't it?

  4. I don't like insects, especially large, nasty looking ones. I do love the Dragon Fly, but not to wear unless its jewelry.

    Yuk!

  6. Yes, I think it is best that you just captured them with your camera instead of your wallet.

  8. Flea markets are just plain fun...and Lorelei might like one of those to wear. Then again she might not...some things she likes and others she don't...she is 5 yrs old.
