The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Polluted Waters

"Nothing truly wild is unclean." - John Muir

But John Muir didn't live in our present time.  If he did he'd probably not have said that.

  3. I'm sure he wouldn't have said it if he lived now.

    Nice capture John.

  4. yeah, ask those folks in WV or along the gulf coast.

  5. This would be a good shot for Weekend Reflections with or without John Muir. :-)

  6. No, but the state of things today would make him truly wild.

  7. this is really different...and I like it.
