The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

Sunday Mosaic

"Nature is pleased with simplicity.  Nature is no dummy." -  Issac Newton

Plant/algae growth on top of water.

Uncropped version

We got had some "showers" yesterday but it barely got the pavement wet and wasn't worth writing about, so I won't.

  1. Thats a good picture - I like this kind of micro-landscape.

I'd like to see a large version of the un-cropped version.

  2. lovely colours 'mongst the algae growth ...

  3. Incredible those colours on the water.

  4. I agree with Bieb. What a nice colors on that water.

  5. it's beautiful, but i know duckweed and the like can choke out the oxygen from a pond if it gets too thick.

  6. I see things like this and I think wouldn't that make a beautiful fabric!

  7. Interesting images.

I hope you get some nice, gentle soakers soon.

  8. I guessed lichen but am surprised it's algae.

  9. Yeah - same here - and it was wetter up your way than it was down here. Just misty enough to muck up the windshield on the Vachemobile but «Louis» had to use the windshield washer to clear it.

  10. Looks more like a bunch of glass beads.

  11. Oh wow... That is a real find... Nice work.

  12. Almost looks like an aerial view of a flower garden.
    Nicely done!
    Peace :)
