The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Continued Practice

Still keeping at my new year's resolution.  This is more practice than anything else at this time.  Just working at getting the technique up to what it used to be a long time ago when I last put pen to paper.
This one is from that set of photos I took as we traveled through the Dust Bowl area of Oklahoma last year.

Set it off to the side and am working on another piece now.

  1. Great composition and very strong graphically. Well done.

  2. I always admire people who can create such images on paper.

  3. How do people do drawings? Thats why I use a camera.

I do tend to avoid the stingrays - but the one the got Steve I was a little bit larger than mine!

    Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne

  4. FABULOUS! perfect perspective and simplicity.

  5. This one is very well set up. Nicely done.

  6. That's excellent. I thought it was a high-contrast version of the photo.

  7. OH! This is WONDERFUL! I totally love it.
