The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Mushrooms 10

A rare spot in the forest where the sunlight was able to penetrate within and back light this fungi.

Another bracket fungi with a white edging that I didn't quite get into focus very well.

The lighting is poor and I am unable to really see what I am getting.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

I didn't intend to line things up as they came out in this photo.
Notice the tiny mushrooms underneath to the left.

  1. The first one looks a bit like polished agate. The second ones like a little fountain.

  6. I have trouble focusing in poor lighting...shoot I have trouble focusing period...but it is worse on dreary days. Love the first with the sun, but also love the last with those little mushrooms under the big toadstool.
