The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

Carhenge

Alliance, Nebraska - 2012

Some may think of Cadillac Ranch in Texas when viewing this same-size reproduction of Stonehenge in England done with automobiles.  There is no comparison - this is way better.
In fact, don't waste your time in going out of your way to see Cadillac Ranch.
Its not worth the effort.

Yep, this is one of my favorite finds along America's highways and backroads.

  2. Great monument. I now want to know if it also shows the midsummer sun as stonehenge does.

  3. But will it still be there in another 4,000 years?

  8. John, I keep thinking your impressive photo collection of "favorite finds along America's highways and backroads" would make a great coffee table book.
