Seen on the Road

Well, actually they overnighted next to us in a WalMart parking lot.  This is a new company that rents out these RVs in Australia, New Zealand and soon the UK.  So far you can only rent them here in the U.S. out of Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas.  For example, if you rent one in Las Vegas for 10 days and return it back in Las Vegas it will cost $68 a night.
With that paint color scheme it attracts more attention than I would be comfortable with.

  2. I'm going to have to look out for then. Might be a fight as there are a lot of places in th eUK rent RV out and they look less harsh on the eyes

  3. Pretty interesting to trick out a Dodge Caravan. I'd like to see more pix of the inside -- especially the beds -- but even their web site shows very little. I could do with a more understated look myself.

    1. P.S. Now that I've visited the web site, many of the ads that show up on my screen are for that service.

  4. We saw these EVERYWHERE in New Zealand. On a side note, since we lived there for 18 months I had a lot of people ask me what they should see on their one week or maybe two week vacation to NZ. I told them not to bother to go if all they had were two weeks. We traveled from the tip of the north island to the bottom of the south island, and the scenery is spectacular the entire way. I would tell people that it is too far and too expensive to travel there unless you take the time to really see this grand place. Because traveling to the various tourist destinations is as beautiful as the destination itself, here's what you do. You start at the top tip of the north island, Cape Reinga, (where the Maori believe their spirits go to leave this earth and join their ancestors when they die), rent a Jucy RV and take your time driving and sightseeing all the way down to the fjords of Milford Sound on the south island. Three weeks minimum time for this, and you still would only be seeing part of this amazing land.
