The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

Step Back into the Past

Since I have ran out of fresh photo material I thought I'd dip into some pictures from a few years back in our visit to Bodie Ghost Town on the eastern side of the High Sierra mountains.  Bodie State Park is a prime spot for the photographer.

Many wagons met the end of their road in Bodie.

Cars too.

  1. From two very different cars but you wonder how they looked when new.

  2. Just leave it down there and it becomes naturally art.

  3. i bet there's all sorts of 'treasures' there at rest.

  4. Oh, that first I wish we could hear the tales that happened.

  5. I like that first photo. No telling what is laying around out there.
