The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

Bodie Bank

This is all that remains of the one and only bank in Bodie, just the vault

that housed the safe inside.  Think they built the vault around the safe?

  1. The bank must have blown up by dynamite perhaps? :-)

  2. Yep, the safe just fits the vault. How cool that it's still there!

  4. I cannot believe they would leave it all. Most places would have had it trashed. It is sort of nice .

  6. Well they made that one to last. I wonder if the same can be said about modern vaults and safes.
