Oooey Gooey

A fungi I found along the trail where the two specimens below it are slowly dissolving into a gooey dripping.  It reminded me of a favorite rhyme of mine when a little boy.

Oooey Gooey was a worm
A mighty worm was he.
He sat upon a railroad track
train he did no see.
Oooey Gooey

  1. You have fungi and fungi, perhaps some interaction with wood juice. Nice little railroad song as companion.

  2. I hadn't recognized this as a fungi at all. It looks very elegant this way.

  3. I've never seen a fungus do that. Hmmm. I bet I need to pay better attention!
