Time to Leave

Our time in the Mojave National Preserve draws to an end.
Before we go, one last flower, my favorite, the blossom of the Beavertail Cactus.

Maybe one more morning walkabout and then

Sinbad leads the way back to our home away from home,

where we begin the long drive back to where we started our journey.

  1. Good name for what I know as an Opuntia. Fascinating flower as always. Love the low shots of the landscape and the road but Sinbad as always steels the show. Like it very much.

  2. Sinbad is a faithful companion, leads you to your home, so sweet. That road looks rather rough, no asfalt or concrete as we have here.

Well worth going for one last walkabout to find such a stunning flower.

    The long road back.
Looking forward to more adventures from "Sinbad".

  11. I know it is a bit sad to have to leave an area you so love, but on the other hand it will be nice for you to get back to home base Love the shot of the road. No interstates in that area. Hope you have a non-eventful trip back.
