The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

Day 57

Yesterday's late afternoon light display.

On today's outing I spotted a nest high in a saguaro.

Must be a large bird to be able haul those big sticks up there.

And then there was this.  Someone is confused with their holidays?

  1. Pretty rays of light! I do wonder what made that big nest. Perhaps a hawk? Have a Merry Christmas.

  2. Great observations. Beautiful light falls over the rim there and the nest. I wonder what bird calls it its house.

  3. That is a strange find that last one!

  4. That is a great nest! Have a Merry Christmas in the desert!
