The test of an adventure is that when you are in the middle of it, you say to yourself, "Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home." And the sign that something is wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home wishing you were out having lots of adventure. -Thornton Wilder

The nice thing about being confused is you get a chance to notice things a lot better than if you knew where you were going.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

Day 72

This is sometimes referred to as Desert Pavement.
The small rocks are embedded in the dirt and pretty much stay in place
making for a fairly flat and smooth surface.

It is nice to camp on as there's virtually no dust and you're not tracking dirt inside.

Last night I learned another nice feature of desert pavement while cooking my dinner outside.

When you pan slips off your camp stove and the chicken hits the ground its no problem since there's no dirt.  Yep, last night's dinner was fortified with extra minerals.

  1. A natural formed pavement, how nice is that. Nature is full surprises.

  2. Boy I'd like that on my other house on driveway and cemet walkway. Did you figure out how to make it?
