Poor Old John J.

Some plants are still flowering in and around the State Park

Interesting color of soil brought up from below by the ants

Imagine this happening to you.

I wondered what John was doing out here in the first place.

A few hundred yards down the road was this which clued me in as to old John J. must have been traveling an established trail so it wasn't like he was wandering around lost or somewhere he had no business in being.

  1. Poor John J. is buried in quite a remote-looking area. Interesting that it was once a semi-established trail.

  2. I wonder what became of John J.'s horse?

  4. Wasn't poor John about 71 years old? Maybe that also had something to do with him dying in his sleep.
