There's a Problem

Quartzsite, Arizona

Trying to get into the "spirit" of the season I dug out the Christmas lights and hung them up.
Only I never remember to plug them in.  And if I do remember, it isn't dark enough yet to appreciate the full effect of the light show as you can see by the photo.  Finally when it is dark, I'm usually in bed by then reading and then what?  I forget they are on and run down the battery.
And really, when I think about it, there's no one out here to see the lights.
So why did I bother?
So I could share it with you?
Yeah, that's it.
Guess I'll take them down now.

  1. How very cheery to see your rig in Christmas lights! I think you should leave them up. I found a string yesterday and will at least do one window.
The last full moon of the decade was at 12:12a.m. and it was so bright. Just a few clouds, so easy to see. We have lots of 'sky activity' here so I am always checking the sky to see what is happening. I'm always surprised that most folks never look up. I saw my first ufo 15 years ago and have been fascinated by them ever since. I feel sure they see and appreciate your lights.
What are you reading? I like history, but also keep close tabs on MrMBB333.

    1. MrMBB333 was very interesting. I was spending too much time exploring it and had to stop. Dinner time. Can't say I've ever seen a UFO. I did go to Marfa Texas to see the "mysterious lights". Saw nothing but a bunch of strange people.

  3. I was raised just north of Marfa in a horrible little town called Van Horn. Avoid it if you are able..don't even stop for gas. But I saw the Marfa lights many times. I know a great number of people here who have seen the ufos. I personally brought over (to my yard) the police chief and the mayor to see what I see, plus about twenty other people. I find MrMBB333 to be hard to fool, and when he has been, he is quick to point out an error. I think if you go out after dark, you can see them. They are telepathic, so just 'ask ' and they will move about.

  4. P.S. Marfa has changed, and not for the better. I don't miss Texas one bit. I have been away many years.
