Stay On Path

Doing so makes it a bit difficult to get the picture.

So when no one was around...

Not my backyard but I wish it was.

I think a person can go off the path depending on situations. Being respectful of the plants, and it sounds like you are. I remember going to a poppy garden a few years ago, and there were hoards of people. Some were tromping thru the poppys to get a photo. Not acceptable. Great post here, and braving the cactus seems to be part of what you do. Besides, who would want to step on cactus? Enjoy your writing. You make me chuckle too.

I've strayed off the path a few times myself. You got some nice shots doing that.

I love the shadows at play. and the textures. my favorite is the last. I have one of those elephant's foot palms and in the summertime I set it outside in shade where it's very happy. the one in your photo has a gorgeous foot. nice shots John. I like it when you stray. is this near where the person was relaxing on that bench? I like the violet bee :)

The photos are just beautiful ... even if you did have to break the rules just a little to get them!

These are brilliant! They look like alien plants to me - I've never seen anything like them around here! :o)
