Feeding Frenzy

Here is a video of the bird activity in our yard. Mainly I wanted to show the covey of California Quail feeding. I tried to cut out a portion in the middle but wasn't able to figure out how to do so. I am still learning at this, so you are stuck with the entire 2:43 minutes. Also I was filming through the glass doors and there is some reflection. I haven't gained the bird's trust entirely yet to be outside. I could crack the slider open a bit but then I am dealing with Sinbad sticking his head outside. I have enough to deal with already just trying to film, I certainly do not need his help.

loved this! we just don't get to see quail here - and certainly not those beautiful cali quails! i like your feeding area and the platform feeder.

do you get purple finches there or was that a dark house finch i saw?

Some of your other birds are the same as I have!
Very nice to see thanks

Hi there - nice video. Can’t claim any plan for the image of the osprey and fish - but who am I to complain. I think the element of luck is ever present in our pictures.

Great video and I love the quail. they look like they are on a feeding frenzy there. Are the finches the Lesser goldfinch? I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!

That was fun to watch, not too long at all! You have a wonderful spot to view them from.

it looks so summer-like there. are those shrubs wrapped to protect them from deer nibbling? well the quail are fun to watch. I bet Sinbad likes to sit at the glass doors and check them out. Their feathers are beautiful. thanks for the video.
