Stoned Fence

My Fridays Fence for last week, A Lot of Rocks, interested a few so here is another stone fence at a different winery on a different day, one that was cold and overcast with a hint of fog in the air.
If I had to have a fence I would like one of these, as long as the rocks stayed in place
and they seem to do.
Having to go out daily and replace fallen rocks would grow tiresome.

For more fences on this Friday go to Jan's

The bright foreground colours and the foggy background are simply beautiful.
I have watched demos of these stone walls being built - it is quite a skill to make it last forever without falling down!

I have always been so impressed by the miles and miles or fences made out of rocks our ancestors made. I see them all over Sweden and I saw them in Canada and in the US.

oh that's a beauty alright. your comment about the maintenance brought to mind Sisyphus. Had I been there on that day I would have thought the weather moody, introspective, and perfect! just look at the atmosphere created by that lovely fog. love the layers in this photo with the bright spot of yellow taking the final bow.
happy weekend to you Sinbad on the loose.

Guess I wasn’t the only one who flipped out over your stone winery fence last week. This one is every bit as beautiful. It is the landscape in this one that adds such a special touch. I would love to be riding around in this area of the county. We have oodles of wineries here in VA, but as yet have not seen any with the gorgeous stone wall/fencing. Keep these pictures coming. genie

I love rocks....in a fence, as a foundation, or just in my yard!
