Boxed Cat to Go

When the new tires arrived for the Western Flyer (see yesterday's post) they arrived folded inside of this box.  In no time at all Sinbad hopped in and made it his new bedroom.  I kept the box in my study for a few days but by then he had grown tired of it and resumed his usual spot behind the sofa.

He is a good cat and has never clawed any furniture.  But he will leave hair behind wherever he lies.  So if there is a particular chair we don't want cat hair on all we have to do is lay the square one inch thick padded cat mat my wife got for him years ago on that chair.  He refuses to lie on it preferring a hard floor, table top or a cardboard box over anything soft and cushy.
He's a cat.  It doesn't need to make sense.

That last statement may be the most profound statement I will hear today! Love that photo of Sinbad. He is so much like our Fat Kitty (Precious) who, sadly, crossed the rainbow bridge 2 years ago at the ripe old age of 14. I always enjoy seeing photos of him (and I know what you mean about the hair!).

Yes this is what they always do, sometimes the box is even to small, but they have to get in. About the hairs, our last cat who past away in 2011 had lots of lossing hairs everywhere and I still find some clothes in my closet with his hairs on. Makes me blink a tear away.

Cats are like children they get more fun out of boxes than what was in them. and they never tire of boxes especially those that folded tyres come in.
we too had some boxes when they arrived I first thought it was our new kitchen, but it was just a load of bubble wrap plastic air bags and 9 saucepans, these are the first lot of pans we have bought since we got married 49 years ago, http://wildaboutwales.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/packing.html

I think all cats love a good box. We close our bigger ones back up and cut a door in the side for them. Then we wait and see which of the 4 gets to claim the castle. They love it when they're inside and another cat paws at the outside of the box. We bought a new leather couch recently because I was tired of attempting to get the cat hair off the fabric one...and none of them like the leather couch and don't sit on it anymore! Score!

Mine just has to investigate every box brought in the house...she's really funny- but she only sleeps on the bed. She is rotten!
