Gallup, New Mexico

Another super sign from old Route 66
They just don't make them like this anymore

I am wondering if the two balls were an inspiration in the design due to the space race in the 1950's

I also love all the old neon motel signs, they bring back lots of memories for me. My Mother managed The Holiday Motel, in Noel, Missouri from 1962-66. I'm not sure, but I think it is still in business.

what a fantastic sign - and photo. It makes me want to sleep there - phones and TV in rooms! I like the roadrunner at the bottom.

What a cool sign John!
The Road Runner is Beep Beep (the bird) from the cartoons, right? ;-)

That's an interesting sign from the past, I love it. Maybe you're right about the two balls. Hmmm....

What a great sign! You're right, they don't make them like that anymore. I love that intense blue sky!
