Monday Mural - Hartville, Missouri

I found these two Civil War themed murals in the small town of Hartville, population a little over 600.

This one especially poignant of the a Confederate officer reading the scriptures for some spiritual strength before going into battle?

still hard to think about this nation so split apart. we have plenty of things that divide us, yet.

Amazing how murals present themselves no matter where you are. These pieces have a feel of watercolor. I especially like the feeling of movement in the first mural. Thanks, John for contributing to Monday Mural.

One cannot imagine the fear that must gone through these soldiers minds in such a war. He probably did need a lot of spiritual strength!

It's good to remind people of the bad old days and hopefully to prevent such things happening again!
