Showmen's Rest II

Hugo, Oklahoma

In addition to the circus and carnival personalities there also was a section known as Bull Rider's Reprieve, a final resting place for Professional Bull Riders.  I did not search for it as I am not familiar with that sport, yet as I write this I wonder if they too had some interesting epitaphs.

If Alice had any more names she'd need a bigger stone.

  1. It is fascinating to see all those lives with professions.

  2. Curiosas imagenes..un abrazo desde Murcia..

  3. I especially like the last one, with the white plaque and picture and paragraph.

  4. Cemeteries are always fascinating I think. As long as I don't have a stone there!

  5. fascinating headstones. Thanks for sharing.

Wish you would have gotten some of the rodeo bull riders headstones but that's ok.

  6. Very interesting post. Beatrix Potter got all her names from cemeteries for her stories and as long as people use them and show them then the dead truly do live on.
