Bad Planning

I forced myself to get out from my warm bed and try to get some early morning sunrise pictures.  Well I discovered I was out there way too early.  Although the sun was to break clear of the horizon at a certain time, it would be nearly an hour later before sunlight peaked over the mountains to the east.  All the while I sat there in the car, cold, starting to get hungry and thinking about how I could have stayed in bed an hour longer.  I'll try again only better prepared next time.

Oh, and then there is when you go to take your first picture and see there is no card in the camera.
You left it stuck in the computer back at home.

Still great landscape shots with what looked like a vineyard in the second photo. It even could be France.

This sounds bad, but a real blogger does everthing for his blog! Those "senior moments" will happen more often I am afraid, says an experienced woman...:)

still pretty pictures. I hate the card stuck in the computer feeling too.

Yeah, been there, done that!
Never mind, you've treated us to a couple of grand pictures anyway.

Whoops!... I have to admit to that as well.

Being an hour early is better than being an hour late. But the no card problem is infuriating. On the plus side, you'll always see more beautiful and interesting things when you can't take a photo of it.

Beautiful light.

Oh yeah, forgetting card and/or battery. Been there and done that. One day I drove all the way out to Bolinas before realizing I had left the camera at home--felt like a fish out of water. I also arrived at the laundromat one day and realized I had forgotten to bring the laundry.

Looks like we can all relate to leaving the memory card in the computer. As Homer Simpson would say... doh!

I think this is why I take more sunset shots!

Nice light even so!

I've left the memory card at home a couple of times myself. Now I double check the slot before I leave the house to make sure it's in there. And I can't blame it on senior moments!

I've left my card at home in the computer. Aggravating for sure!

I've done the arriving with an empty camera and the card in the computer trick too. Looking at the comments, it's quite a common thing to happen.

Is that a vineyard, or orchard, maybe even a tea plantation (that would be very civilised)
