No Turkey!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Americans.  Happy regular day to everyone else.

I never did find any wild turkeys for today's post so I present to you Turkey Tail Fungi

and Turkey Vultures.

The real turkeys will now come out from hiding.

It is sad that those birds have such ugly heads. A mistake of nature or a punishment?

Did you happen to watch PBS and My Life as a Turkey? It was just wonderful. It would make you want to go out and buy a turkey pup or two.

Cheers,

Jo

At first I thought, "What do you mean he can't find the bourbon?" Then I realized you meant actual wild turkeys. Oops. Believe it or not, we've had wild turkeys wander into our backyard. The birds. This was totally unexpected since we're in a decidedly urban neighborhood.

Those are quite majestic.
Were there many where you photographed them or did you have to wait a bit to photograph one?
Nice shots!
Peace :)
