Good Horse Fence

Cedar Island, North Carolina

I'd like this place place if it were not for the cold wind constantly blowing.  No, I did not go for a horse ride.  I am not that much of a horse person.  And then, there was that cold wind thing too.
I like this fence for the mish-mash of materials put together to make it.

Down the fence line a ways it began to get more colorful for some reason.
It might be a horse thing which I did not understand.

We were at Cedar Island waiting for the ferry to carry us over to Cape Hatteras,
a wait which turned into an over night affair.

Yep, someone frugal has used bits of this and that to create this.

It does look like a mish mash of materials. Their way of saving money, maybe! Love the view of the water in the second shot! Happy Thursday!

Sometimes, you gotta do, what you gotta do; fence building with materials found on the work site, not an exception :

Peace :)

looks like twine from bales of hay.... my sister has piles of reds hanging on her post near the hay shed.... ...there is blue on last year's batch... must be several different types and colours available....

next time I'm there I'm taking a photo of it... great idea for a photo op......

Both are fun, and the no smoking sign is wonderful! Outside, but hey don't want to make the horses sick with by smoking! Surely your second photo is by a very creative artist!

A refugee from the Cambridgeshire fens, probably; that's just the kind of fence they build in those parts.

It is the most Traditional form of fencing. A picket fence looks good aesthetically but the cost of maintenance can be very high. You need to paint it regularly to retain its charm and usefulness.iron fence panels
