Ominous Skies


East of Springfield Illinois

It started out not so bad of a day but the further west we traveled the worse it got.




 We called it a day early in Beardstown, about the only place relatively safe as there were tornado warnings in all the counties around us.  Yes, this California couple had uneasy afternoon and night.  
No big deal for the locals though.

No big deal for the locals but their houses weren't on wheels and weighing less than a few thousand pounds. Anyway, nice shots. I love storm photos.

Yup, I think that would have made me uneasy too. Tornados seem very scary to me. Of course those in the mid west think our earthquakes are pretty scary too.

Nice pics John.... we are having lot's of lightning storms in the UK but so far the Open Golf Championship has not suffered too much.
