They all had to be going over 70 mph (113kph) at least.

Yes there are always some daredevils in such groups. Still worse when coming from a motorcycle race in the neighbor.
You are young and reckless and in a group, than have to show your tricks. Yeh, hope their tour went well.

This is a very hazardous behavior not only for themselves but those around them. I'm sure you were alarmed when they roared by you.
