Along the Lincoln Highway

Highway 30, Nebraska

Note the 'California' license plate

I liked their prices but unfortunately they had no diesel.

Good thing I wasn't wanting an ice cream at the time.
No store or shop was to be seen anywhere.

What you all can find on a trip. I like it.

An elegant gas station. Never seen such one before.

I read my hometown paper last night and found that the Rotary Club is disbanding...not enough businesses in town anymore to support it. So sad to see a small town deteriorate, but makes for great pictures from the past. $1.31 for gas? I can't even remember.

I often see $1.31 at our gas pumps - unfortunately it's per litre, though, and translates to more like $4.96 a U.S. gallon.

No fair showing an ice cream cone and then not selling any!

I presume that the traffic has moved elsewhere leaving this community 'high and dry'. Literally high and dry with no diesel or ice-cream.

The Pickers would love that gas pump.

There is this American realities TV series called 'Pickers' on our cable TV, Frank and Mike's travels. I like these places and things so unfamiliar and yet interesting. Enjoyed your photo journals. Thanks.
