Everglades, Florida
Several commented on the Roseate Spoonbill alongside the Wood Stork using his wing as a sunshade in last week's Wild Bird Post. Here are more of the dining couple.
And this one would rather dine alone.
Who me?
Whatever...
For more birds go to Stewart's Wild Bird Wednesday

Cool bird!! I would love to see some for myself.
Interesting looking birds and great photos! I like the red and pink coloring.
Great bird shots in their natural habitat. I like to see this.
That red is very red the one bird has. Amazing how nature can give them such colours.
Someday I want to see and photograph these birds!
the stork and spoonbill bring their own utensils to dinner. :)
I've never seen the spoonbill in a picture before. It is really a lovely colored bird.
I thought those spoon nosed dinosaurs were extinct! AMAZING!
i love the pink. great for the month of October. ( :
The roseate spoonbill is such an interesting bird that I can sit there and observe it for hours. Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos.
Fabulous pics, John!
They are awesome birds, I wish they were here.. Great shots of the Spoonbills and the Wood Storks..
Wonderfully unusual and dynamic duo. I loved the photos....:)
Both are so lovely! I particularly like the picture of the single spoonbill looking a little "startled." Great shots!
Love the Spoonbill shot.
I'm not much of a birder but that roseate spoonbill looks pretty special.
The Roseate Spoonbill is adorably pretty.
Great find, John.
Peace :)
