Bean's Walk

Rabbit Valley, Colorado

Beans likes to go for a walk in the morning and late afternoon.
Here in Rabbit Valley her chosen route is always this stream bed near camp.

Inspecting this culvert pipe is always on her to-do list.

There are a few lizards around but there were a lot more when we were here later in the year a year and a half ago.  So she supplements her hunts with grasshoppers.  Its always a joy to see her leaping four feet up in an attempt to catch a hopper.  I know in time she will not be so energetic or agile so I treasure these moments with her now.  They grow old so fast.

  1. Beans must be completely comfortable with wearing her harness now.

  2. I wondered if you let Beans off the leash there!

    1. No, I don't. Never. Too dangerous with coyotes, rattlesnakes or just chasing off after a lizard to who knows where. I take the harness and leash out in Photoshop so it looks better and more natural.
