My Birthday Gift

An infection.
Yep.  Happy Birthday to me.
It was a long night of burning with little to show for it.

I was told to come in an leave a urine sample.

Hmm...how many hands with pee on them touched this door?

That’s me on the left.
I was so happy that I could produce a sample.
The waterworks were close to a complete shut down again.

I returned an hour later to pick up a prescription of antibiotics.

And the hits just keep on coming.

  1. Infections are fixable. Prescriptions are good!! Happy birthday!

  2. Urinary infections are not nice but they can be treated.

  3. At least you are close to a place for testing and getting antibiotics...so very sorry you are going through all this, I am glad you are living to such a good older year ,,and pray that this too shall pass(pun intended),wishes for your and Beans health and happiness ahead, - Mary

  4. I know this is not fun to go through, but like someone said, at least there is antibiotics. I wondered what happened to people before they existed.

    1. I had asked one of the nurses on an early visit that question. "Back in the days of old what happened to people who experienced what I did back in the desert?" She said "They died. The urine would back up to the kidneys and then death." What a horrible way to die was all I could say.

  5. Thank goodness for modern day medical care and medicines. So glad you made it out of the desert and you're able to get some medical care for the plumbing problem.

  6. I’ve gone through this, in fact last August and now a follow up with a second fine tuning by the urologist. Give me a call, happy birthday!

  7. I was going to type those exact same words: Drink lots of cranberry juice!
