The Waiting Room

I arrived at my doctor appointment and was so happy to see this in the waiting room.  I so despise ever going to the doctor mainly because I do not want to be around all those sick and infected people.  I asked the receptionist “You remember when things were normal?”  She nodded.  “So back in normal times there would have been a lot of people in here?”  She smiled behind her mask and said there would be.

You know, if you just look hard enough you can find good aspects about this pandemic.

I went for an eye check-up recently and didn't even have time to sit down before my name was called. I was in and out within twenty minutes, rather than the couple of hours it usually takes.

The same happening here in Canada.... arrived at Dr office on time, didn't even sit before being called, then consultation with TWO doctors took just a few minutes.
And a couple of weeks ago when I went to pick up my new glasses, I didn't go into the building, the glasses were fitted outside in the street. Very efficient.
I hope this is the "new normal".

Agree 100%! Have you noticed how healthy people are these days? When was the last time you even saw a person with a cold?

I will enjoy reading your e-books over the winter, but just wanted to say that my daughter and her husband traveled with an Afghan street cat for quite a few years. The cat has seen more countries than most people and holds a passport. Now, like the rest of the world, they are holed up due to Covid. Regards from Pennsylvania. Be well!
