I had the two sticks on the right to do, and touched up the redwood one on the left. These and two or three more finished ones inside I have been carrying around for over a year now. With this darn COVID business I cannot give them away. If you are unable to meet and interact with people how can one offer them a free hiking stick? I’m done. Not making them anymore.

Can they be left at a watering hole with luggage label style tags tied to them saying "these are hiking sticks, please take one"? At least there's a chance somebody will adopt one.....?
ReplyDeleteThat idea has been suggested to me before but I would like to see who adopts one of my sticks. I will eventually find a home for them.
DeleteIt's the T-Rex! He's cute. I'd love a new hiking stick...for when I can hike the trails around here again...or if I can. I gave mine that I had for years to a son, who really doesn't need one, but he helped make it so it seemed right.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to have that super redwood stick! But sadly I'm too far away to come and collect it.
ReplyDeletei would love for you to have it. But to be honest the redwood stick is quite large and not really suited for a woman’s hand, or even mine for that matter. It is more like a staff that Moses would have.
DeleteMaybe you can just leave them propped against a tree and someone in need would be grateful? Just a thought. They are too gorgeous to not be seen or used.
ReplyDeleteThat idea has been suggested to me before but I would like to see who gets one of my sticks, plus I don’t want one to be just “found” and used for fire wood.
