I planned to be at this site for two days then take my time driving 150 miles to a small town and pick up a package I had sent. Once mailed tracking showed it to arrive on a Saturday (the little post office would be closed Saturday) instead of the expected two to three day delivery which would be Thursday or Friday. So I had to choose, stay put or stay at Walmart parking lots along the way until Monday. Tough choice.
The weather improved, the sun was out all day and the wind finally ceased. I took that day to go for a swim in the lake. It was so refreshing. I cannot recall the last place or time I was able to do that. So thanks to the inefficiency of the U.S. Postal Service I had that pleasure.

And guess what? Thursday the tracking still showed expected delivery Saturday. That afternoon, DELIVERED. What the heck? Well I wasn’t about to make a banzai run that afternoon or all day Friday to be there in time to pick it up. Oh well, the swim was well worth it.
Not where I swam.
I do miss swimming in lakes these days. what a great idea!!
I can't even remember the last time I had a swim in a lake. I like the photo of your clothes next to the water.
Thank you. I thought that photo better than the alternative.
