Bull Crap Park

Yep, I just changed the name.  It needed changing.

We drove ninety-six miles to camp here near the shore of Lake J B Thomas.

Say what?!

The place looked like it hadn’t been used in a long time.

It was peaceful and quiet except for the wind clang-banging the loose tin roof on the women’s pit toilet.

Well this certainly wouldn’t have been an issue.  The lake water was non-existant.  I could just barely see a brick-red smear of water in the far distance off to the right.  Yes, the water was indeed red.

So there we sat at the entrance and had lunch making the locals nervous as they drove by thinking we were camping out there since the park was cabled off.

We gave up on waiting for the authorities to arrive (for sure someone had to have reported us squatters to the sheriff) and drove another twenty-some miles to Walmart in Snyder, Texas.
Curious fact: Beans and I were in the same spot three years ago on May 11, just two days off.
