I had a probable place to overnight at the top of Lookout Pass at a ski resort parking area on the Idaho/Montana border. But upon arrival I didn’t care for it plus there was no cell service. We drove on down into Montana again to this campground. There still was no cell service but I was done for and wanted my cup of tea. And you know, it was kind of nice being offline.
There were very few campers here. I was immediately struck with how quiet it was. I thought back to Beauty Creek. It too was equally quiet. No road noise, no trains, no watercraft noise, no generators, barking dogs or people loud talking at either place.
Beans really loved this place, more so than most for some reason.
There weren’t all that many varmints running about so I don’t know why she loved it so.
I had to take numerous walks with her just to satisfy her requests.
Hold up Dad, I gotta check out this hole.
Nope, nothing there.
When it came time to leave in the morning she sure knows how to make me feel bad.
Guilt, guilt, guilt.
They look tasty don’t they? They are chock berries and are supposed to be real bitter.
I took their word on that.

Cats and dogs are very intuitive about places and people, so I always trust them. It looks like a great place to spend some time, especially when someone doesn't park right next to you.
My late wife and I camped at Cabin City some years ago, on the way back to I-90 there was a Mooskie having breakfast in the ponds on the right...
A nice quiet campsite for sure..
