Fixing Gracie

My plan was to stay in Sun Valley for a couple weeks.  So I ordered a new battery for the Honda 90.  Meanwhile I cleaned up the battery holder and decided to take the bike to the carwash and clean real good down inside the frame and body through the battery compartment.

Backed in and already to wash.

Then I saw this.  Really?  This is the most expensive carwash I have come across.  Everything is expensive in the Ketchum/Sun Valley area.  Lots of rich people have homes here including Hollywood personalities.  There is not one fast food restaurant anywhere, not even a McDonalds.  There is one Starbucks; they managed somehow to get a foothold in town.  No Family Dollar or any other dollar stores.  Nothing to serve us lower class folk.  I left, not washing the bike.

Back at camp I cleaned inside the best I could and repainted the battery holder.
Now to wait for the new battery to arrive at the post office.
The UPS store was going to charge $10 for pickup.
Yeah, you rich folk wouldn’t think once about that.

Meanwhile...it is supposed to get real cold.  The other two times I have been here, during the same period, it has always been ideal weather.  This is the Weather Channel forecast.  Two other weather apps I have show it to be warmer.  No one can agree.  I hope the Weather Channel doesn’t know what they’re doing.

How was I able to avoid that all summer?

Good for you, heading into Montana and mountainous country when it got hot last summer. Hope it doesn't freeze you out in Sun Valley. That's so funny that they have no economical purchasing available for common folk. Who do they have providing services for them, don't they need to buy their own gear too?

Maybe now's the time to head back down into the South.

We’re slowly working our way down there but it is still 99 to 109 in the desert where we stay for the winter.
