I was curious about the fuel can I left by the roadside. I went back the next day. It was gone.
I was happy to have made someone’s day.
What to do? I decided to walk down this road towards the river.
In those trees in the distance was someone’s camp from long ago.
Imagine sleeping out in the open on that old bed frame.
By the condition of this rusted axe it has been a long time since anyone was here.
Across the field though electricity has been recently brought in.
Perhaps whoever owns this land is planning to build a little log cabin home here.
Looks like a good place to me.

It's interesting that the can had been there so long and you moved it and someone picked it up so quickly!
You have probably moved on by now...On the way to Stanley my favorite campsite is #10 at Morman Bend campground..Right on the river with a hot spring close by and never crowded when I have stayed there...I used it as a base to explore the Custer area and the gold dredge.
Shoot, I wish I was there now...
Dental-doctor appts..it never ends....
You will see what happened in Saturday’s post.
It couldn’t be seen from the highway. That is why it lasted as long as it did where I found it.
