As the year comes to an end and a new one begins I’ve been doing a lot of thinking.
What now? Where to this time around?

Under gloomy skies I went for a walkabout. Despite the looks it was rather pleasant out. No wind and not really cold at all. I’d take advantage of that while I could.
Clarification on yesterday’s post which created some confusion at the end. It was just Mark Twain type of humor. He’d write for example “...he’d have all kinds of adventures and maybe get himself hanged or scalped and have such a fine time and write home about it and be a hero.” Well being as it was to freeze this weekend and if I ran out of propane then I would have died, over-exaggerating my dislike for the cold. “This is when death occurs for me. I know. It has happened before.” Also I will make it clear I NEVER run the heater while lying in bed or sleeping. Only when I am up and about. Safety first.
When I went into town to fill the little propane tank I did a bit of grocery shopping. Back home I discovered my milk was five days past and starting to turn. Damn! I should have checked. Now I would have to make another trip. I did so the next day taking the Honda.
When I returned I found someone had moved in across the way. As I ate lunch, two more joined in. Dogs were running loose, they all had ATVs (Annoying Terrestrial Vehicles) and none had solar panels. This meant generators would be running at all hours.
So we moved over a quarter of a mile. It is no big deal to move plus we had been at that spot for twenty-five days so a change was fine.
Yesterday morning I crawled out of bed, turned on the heater and started in on my morning routine. Within a couple of minutes the heater sputtered out. Out of propane!
Just a couple short videos of Beans enjoying a fresh new catnip banana she got for Christmas.
Beans was out for a wander as I followed along.
I saw this. She continued on.
Two nights before Christmas we had a system roll though with not heavy but a constant rain. This later turned into high winds. Imagine being in this all while that nonsense is going on outside.
Beans and I wish you all a happy Christmas.
I took a little walk out to Old Yuma Road
I was out and about on the Honda and stopped to look at the for sale items on the bulletin board at one of the larger camp areas. This guy sneaked up on me with this little Honda Express. He startled me. I never heard it running. In fact I don’t think I have ever seen one before.
Thirty-two (0c) degrees one morning and she had no intention on getting up until I turn on the heater and warm this place up.
I finally caught Beans running for home.
So you are probably asking “Why didn’t you take video?”
Duh...
One day on a run up the dirt road to drop off trash in the dumpster I caught a glimpse of this as I passed by. After dropping off my trash the guy at the camp came walking over to see me. We visited awhile.
