A New Year

It is raining all day today, a great way to start off the new year, cooped up inside all day.

It is 10 a.m. as I write this blogpost.  Beans just now decided to get up.  Oh the life of a cat.

Thank all of you for the best wishes for the new year.  I hope the best for all of you and everyone else but...
I think myself as a positive person.  I try to see the bright side of life.  I feel we (Beans and I) will have a good year.  It is just everyone else, I am not so sure about.  I fear the way of life for all may be harder, more difficult in 2023 than it was in 2022.  I hope I am wrong.
I apologize for the bad thoughts.  Maybe it is the gloomy rainy day.

Have a great Beans and John year! Loved the photo through the wet window, and assume that grey blob isn't beans out in the rain!

I think that you are right, John. If things don't change, things will be more difficult for all of us. But, that being said, I do believe that we can change the world. If we want the world to be a kinder place, each one of us needs to start being kinder people.

Did you know that in Buffalo New York, a man rescued 23 people in the snowstorm, broke into a middle school. They took nothing. They damaged nothing, they ate only the food that they needed to survive, and left the place neat as a pin.

Did you know a town called Scarborough canceled their New Year's eve fireworks, because they didn't want to frighten a walrus who had happened by?

Did you know that in Why, Az, there is a man who exists quietly with his cat, reading books, hurting no one, being a good steward of the world he lives in.

All these little stories make me believe that goodness will win out, as it always does.
