Goodbye Rose

I took one last ride down to Crazy Woman Camp.  I don’t like referring to her that way so I choose Rose as one of the bones had Desert Rose painted on it.  I think she was a smart, brave and resourceful woman in caring for her son as she did.

Someone brought in a table and others have been adding items to it.

Items have been added to the rock oven also.

This little glass bluebird I thought was lovely.

People have been adding to the notepad also.  I found this interesting.
I hope he/she soon becomes comfortable with their new way of life.
It takes awhile to get used to it then you will find you will never want to go back to that way of life.

Back home I loaded up Gracie onto the the motorcycle carrier in back in preparation to leave sometime next week.  She’ll get a bath in town then I’ll cover her up with her new cover.

Glad you've given her a name, and the bluebird is certainly a sweet gesture. I made a 'bluebird of happiness" for someone, and he still has it on his desk whenever I visit him. May we all have one on our shoulders.

I have that exact blue bird on my windowsill! I love this post. The idea that a woman so loved her son that she set everything aside to focus on him. The idea that the love still lingers in that spot, drawing others to it, encouraging kindness in them.

Thanks for the post!

I like your name for the lady much better!

Very nice of people to bring items for whoever needs them. I love that table, it's beautiful!

Years ago my dad gave me a set of the Bluebird of Happiness.

That note is very touching.
